The Tyrant’s Shadow and the Limits of Darkness

By John J. Blanchard

In our recent studies we have come to see many fascinating and wonderful thoughts of God. We have come to see that in the last six thousand years the people of the earth have been dwelling under a tyrannical government. We have been dwelling under a tyrannical government in which we cannot escape without supernatural help from God.

We found that that government is Satan’s government, which in the scriptures is often called “Babylon” which means tyranny, oppression and confusion. It is a government we cannot see, but it is a government that we can all feel the powerful influence of. It is all pervasive around the earth. We cannot escape it if we live on the earth for indeed Satan is the prince of the power of the air.

We have also studied his governmental structure. We have seen that in the scriptures in Daniel chapter 2 it is portrayed as a great image. That image was also portrayed on the earth itself by succeeding empires of world governments. There were mankind’s governments influenced by Satan. We found that the governments of the earth merely reflect the spiritual government above. We concluded that this is as if it were a shadow upon the earth. Today we are going to study the tyrant’s shadow and the limits of its darkness.

Satan is that tyrant above the earth. He is an evil despot, an evil dictator, a harsh and cruel ruler. All human tyrants that have operated underneath him and underneath his influence have great similarities to their master, to their boss Satan the devil. It does not matter how far back in time, evil rulers such as Antiochus Epiphanes, Nero, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot or Saddam Hussein (or evil organizations that seek power and rulership like al-Qaida) all have similarities. It does not matter what evil tyrant or tyrannical system that has existed upon the earth, they all have similarities. They all have common traits. All in turn have been Satan’s puppets and do his bidding.

What has happened with these dictators over the years is that they fell in love with their captors. They fell in love with Satan’s ways. They fell in line with his wishes and his desires and fulfilled what he wanted done. They did not resist the downward pull of Satan, therefore they became in turn evil tyrannical governmental systems just like Satan’s.

We found that we need to use our free will to resist bearing the image of Satan. We want to bear the image of Jesus Christ and build good character. But when one falls for the trap of bearing the image of Satan fully, one becomes a bully, a tyrant and an oppressor just like Satan the devil. So these characteristics of tyrants make them all rule the same way, using the same style. They rule by fear. They keep the truth from their citizens. They generate hatred towards some other group, some other nation, some other race or some other religion so the blame is pointed somewhere else and not at them. By doing these things they keep their subjects in total darkness. This is the main tool of Satan the devil (keeping his subjects in total darkness). How is this done? This is done by lies and deceit. That is what Satan does so well.

Lies and deceit equals darkness. It is darkness and that is the shadow that is cast upon the earth. A shadow is the evidence of something that is there and is real, but the shadow is not the real thing. We talked about that before. The shadow of Satan, the lies, the deceit and the hatred that exists all around the world is the evidence of Satan at work. This is the evidence that his shadow is at work because he is at work. He is at work in mankind. We see the evidence. We do not see him, but we see the evidence. By this we know that Babylon exists, because we see chaos, confusion and tyranny exist.

Revelation 12:9 says that the whole world is deceived by Satan and by his system. The whole world needs to be liberated by Jesus Christ and soon will be. We are going to study the system of Satan and find out what his limits are. What are the limitations of that shadow upon mankind and how it works within the minds and hearts of men.

If you would turn first, please, to John chapter 8, and we will start reading in verse 37. Christ points out something here very clearly for us. John 8, verse 37: “’I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father’” So Christ is talking to the people gathered about Him here, specifically the Pharisees and Sadducees, but a number of people listening to Him. He says I know what I got from My Father, but you act like your father. What does He say here in explanation?

Verse 39: “They answered and said to Him, ‘Abraham is our father.’ Jesus said to them, ‘If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me…’” Christ knew Abraham very well. Abraham is called the friend of God. So the two of them knew each other very well, and Abraham would never have tried to kill Christ. So Christ is taking them to task here saying if Abraham were your father you would not seek to kill Me.

Continuing in verse 40: “’…a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.’” He would not have attacked Me. Verse 41: “’You do the deeds of your father.’ Then they said to Him, ‘We were not born of fornication; we have one Father – God.’ Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.’”

He clearly says here Satan is the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning. He calls a spade a spade. They tyrant (this being called Satan) is a murderer who generates fear because that is what murder does. He lies, which is darkness. Christ said if you love Me you would listen to Me because I am telling you the truth. The truth is opposite of lies. They are in diametrical opposition to one another. Lies, darkness, murder and fear are to keep people down, keep people oppressed, keep people in ignorance.

There is only one way to fight darkness. Turn on the light. Everyone has seen how bright a flashlight is in the darkness or how one candle in a darkened room makes a tremendous difference. The light is the only way to fight darkness. Light is enlightenment, which is the truth. The truth enlightens. Lies darken. Every tyrant who ever existed on the earth squirms in the light. Currently we have Saddam Hussein squirming when he gets caught in his lies. They hide in the darkness and cannot stand light. Satan is no different for he is the father of those systems, and he is the father of lies. Therefore he is the source of darkness.

Let us take a look at the scriptures very quickly at light for just a moment. Turn back to the beginning. Genesis chapter 1, starting in verse 1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.”

God saw that the light was good. The sun of itself, a physical thing was there long before this event took place. If you were to trace this back in time, as we have done before, you would see that this is an incident that took place about six thousand years ago. The light is the light that Jesus Christ brings to the earth, and it is good. That is why when Jesus Christ’s Spirit moved over the waters and saw that it was without form and void (it was a wilderness, a spiritual darkness) there was no light here. God said We will bring light.

Let us turn to Genesis chapter 2, starting in verse 8: “The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Here we have Jesus Christ, the Light, the source of good food pictured as the tree of life and Satan, the source of darkness, pictured as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Satan used to be called Lucifer (lightbringer). He knows what it is to be good, but he has turned his back on goodness. He has turned his back on justice, mercy and love and has become the very embodiment of hatred and darkness. There is no light in him anymore so he is now called Satan which means “adversary”. He is an adversary of God and man because he has gone totally dark. God says that light is good. Darkness is evil.

Now go to chapter 3 of Genesis, starting in verse 1: “Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, ‘Has God indeed said, “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden”?’ And the woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, “You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.”’ Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’”

Genesis 3, verse 6: “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”

This was the first lie to mankind after Christ brought light, light to the garden, separating the darkness of the world from the light of Jesus Christ. Mankind went under the influence of Satan and became his captives (his hostages). The reason they had their eyes opened is because they could see the darkness. They could feel the hatred. Their minds could pick up the attitudes of Satan. They could see good was there and evil was there, but Satan could now broadcast to their minds and influence them as captives. He could force them, in some ways, to live in an environment which would help bring them down. It would help bring them down, constantly pulling at them to do evil, to become darkness.

Satan told the first lie here which quickly led to what? The first murder! Let us look at Genesis chapter 4, starting with verse 6: “So the Lord said to Cain, ‘Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.’ Now Cain talked with Abel his brother, and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Where is Abel your brother?’ He said, ‘I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?’ And He said, ‘What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.’”

The first murder after light was brought to the earth did not take long. Why? Cain’s countenance had fallen. He was hearing what Satan wanted him to hear in his head. The grudges and the animosities that he had against Abel became so big he could not resist and he killed his brother. This is what mankind faces when he dwells in Satan’s environment. It is a constant pulling on our minds to do the wrong thing. We must, as God said, rule over it. We must reject it. We must realize it is wrong and seek to do the will of God. It is very difficult when you are a captive to resist what your captor wants you to do. We could all picture being a hostage somewhere and what kind of courage it would take to resist our captors. This is the system we live in. This is the condition we live in. We must resist.

Let us go to John chapter 1 in the New Testament for a quick look at light, Jesus Christ as the light. John chapter 1, starting in verse 1. This is a reference back to Genesis. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life…” That is that tree of life. “…and the life was the light of men.” That is the light that was good. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

Most people who have dwelt upon the earth never knew that the light had come. Did you know that? Most people have never known that a light (a better way) has come to this earth. They have lived and died in total darkness through no fault of their own! That is about to change! But a light did come. Jesus Christ came, and He died for our sins. He brought hope, and He brought truth. The Bible is His word and that word is truth. That truth is enlightenment. Enlightenment is what chases away the darkness.

Turn, if you would, to John chapter 8. We are going to read the beginning of that little discourse where Satan was portrayed as the father of lies by Jesus Christ. We are going to back up a few verses now to verse 31 of John 8. “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ They answered Him, ‘We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, “You will be made free?”’” They did not even understand they were in bondage to Satan! They did not understand the environment they were dwelling in. Christ was telling them if you listen to Me and believe Me, you can be set free from the bondage you are under.

Continuing in verse 34 of John 8: “Jesus answered them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.’”

He makes us free by the truth. Why? Because the truth is enlightenment and it chases away the darkness. It gives us the power to resist sin. It gives us the power to overcome sin by relying on Jesus Christ to take away the debt of sin, which is death. It is a wonderful system that God has put in place to help us. We need to claim His promises. Eventually this light will cover the earth, but we have a while to go yet before that is the case. So it is going to help us in dealing with Satan and his system to understand how he effects us and what his limitations are.

First of all the main thing we have to realize at this point is that Christ’s word is truth and that is enlightenment. Truth frees us from tyranny and truth is the opposite of a lie. Every evil act that has ever taken place on the earth had to have been a lie believed first. Think of it. All the wars, all the hatred and all the crimes someone had to swallow a lie from Satan first. I can rob that person; he is rich! I can take that from him; he does not deserve that. I can kill those people over there because they are a different nation, a different nationality. They are not as good as our nation. I can persecute that religion over there because they are the wrong religion. It does not matter whether we call our God God, whether we call or god Allah or any other name we have for Him on the earth. If we think we can kill, steal, terrorize or victimize anyone, we are not following the true God! Because the true God is not a murderer. The true God does not lie. He brings light. He brings truth. He brings peace.

Let us apply some common sense to what we have learned so far. Why does God say we dwell in the shadow of this image, the shadow of his government? I am going to give you a few examples.

What does a shadow do? It is the evidence that something is blocking the light. Satan’s government is above us as we saw in Daniel chapter 7. It is above us. It is above the earth. That means it comes between us and God. That is why in Daniel 7 it took three weeks for God’s messenger to fight his way through the King of Persia to answer Daniel’s prayer. Therefore, we have a governmental system that casts a shadow upon the earth. God calls a spade a spade. We live in the shadow.

This kingdom forms heights above the earth just as Christ’s government will become a mountain as we saw in Isaiah 9. Just as Christ’s government will become a mountain and conquer the whole earth, Satan’s government is pictured as mountains over the earth. Babylon sits on those mountains. These mountains cast an enormous shadow. Anyone who has ever been through the Rockies or the Himalayas knows when you get in those mountain valleys it is almost dark down there in some places because you are in the valley between the mountains. The sun is blocked so you are in a huge shadow of a mountain. I have never been to the Himalayas, but I have been to the Rockies a number of times.

We are going to show a series of scriptures now when God explains this system very clearly in His word so we can picture in our minds what we cannot see in reality. All we see is the shadow (the evidence of Satan’s work). We do not see him or his kingdom (his mountains or his city), but we see the result of his activities in mankind’s lives.

Turn to Matthew chapter 4. Here we have the most titanic struggle that ever existed on a planet. It was a spiritual battle between Jesus Christ and Satan and Satan lost! Matthew chapter 4, starting in verse 8: “Again, the devil took Him up…” That is Jesus Christ. “…on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”’ Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”

That was a titanic struggle that would have made it unnecessary for Jesus Christ to die if He had accepted that, but it would have been bad news for all of us! Christ willingly laid down His life and suffered terrible things so that the system could be defeated. It is important to note here that Satan took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain to show Him all of the kingdoms of the earth and the King James says “in a moment of time”. Now how is that possible?

Find the mountain for me on earth that we could climb and from there see the whole earth and all the kingdoms at one time, let alone in one moment of time. It cannot be done! This was a spiritual mountain! It shows two things. Satan and his government dwell on that mountain, and he has authority over the earth. He knew he could offer the earth to Jesus Christ, and Christ knew he had the authority to do so. Therefore, we can see he is the prince of the power of the air, the ruler of the earth (the tyrant we dwell under), and he lives in a kingdom called Babylon on the mountains above the earth. He is casting a huge shadow.

When he walks upon his mountains, he is a beast that casts an image upon the earth. His mountains cast images and shadows upon the earth. Those shadows are what we dwell in. They are a form of darkness.

Now, if you would, turn to Jeremiah chapter 51. God gives a prophecy about these mountains of Satan. Satan knows this is here too, and he knows his time is about up. He is very angry right now. Jeremiah 51, starting in verse 25: “’Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, who destroys all the earth,’ says the Lord. ‘And I will stretch out My hand against you, roll you down from the rocks, and make you a burnt mountain. They shall not take from you a stone for a corner nor a stone for a foundation, but you shall be desolate forever,’ says the Lord.”

There is no physical mountain that can rule the earth. This is the same mountain that Satan took Jesus Christ up on to offer Him the kingdoms of the earth. It is this mountain here. The prophecies says that mountain will be destroyed. Satan’s government will be brought down and he will be desolate. That is what we look forward to because Babylon rests on that mountain, and Babylon is the source of tyranny and confusion. It is that government that makes life so miserable for mankind.

The main point to remember here is the system that is called Babylon that dwells in those mountains blocks God’s light. That system does it with lies and with deceit, and it does it by exerting powerful influence to pull all of mankind down.

That shadow is limited to influence. Satan can tempt, as he just tried to tempt Jesus Christ in this example. Satan can broadcast. We have read Ephesians 2:1-2 before where Satan is called the prince of the power of the air. He can broadcast thoughts into our minds. He can tempt us to do things against the will of God, to do evil. So he can tempt and he can broadcast, and we have fallen for his influence for six thousand years. The evidence has been murder, hatred, racism, greed, lust, anxiety, depression and all of those negative things is the evidence that Satan has been working here on the earth for six thousand years. But it is the evidence of his influence. It is the evidence of the shadow. It is evidence that there is a real being behind the events that pull mankind down. I want to show you that he is limited to influence, and it is very easy logically to prove that.

Show me the gun that Satan fired at anybody! Show me the knife Satan used to stab anyone! Show me the bomb that Satan dropped on any city! Show me the drugs that Satan manufactures! Show me Satan’s chemical and biological weapons! Those are all things that mankind has made, invented or done to one another at Satan’s temptation! It has been Satan’s influential pull downward.

Satan cannot drop bombs on the earth. There is a limit to what God will allow. Satan is limited to using people by influencing them, by trying to get them to do his will. We have free will given to us by God. It was one of the most wonderful gifts God gave mankind, but it also allows us to choose to do what Satan wants us to do. He wants us to listen to those bad temptations, those broadcasts.

Choice equals free will. We all have free will so that means we can all make choices. When we choose to do what is wrong, we have made a bad choice. But every choice is preceded by a thought. We need to check those thoughts because sometimes those thoughts are broadcast from Satan. Anytime we have a negative thought or emotion, we have just tuned into Satan’s wavelength.

Our minds are much like antennae. There is like an antenna in there that can be tuned to Satan’s wavelength. It is almost preset in humanity to be able to pick up his waves. We have to fight and resist that. Turn it to a good station when a bad attitude comes on! Physically turn the television to a good station or turn it off. When evil thoughts are coming through a screen, into our mind (whether it is a television screen or movie screen), we are allowing Satan direct access to our minds! If it is on the radio and it is negative music and negative songs, that is listening to Satan’s broadcasts. It is in a way that we can very well understand because we know that in any room when there is no television on or radio on those waves are still there. If we want to turn the television or radio on to receive the broadcast, we certainly can. Our mind operates the same way. It is like a receiver. Then with our actions we become like a repeater or a broadcaster. We can take in Satan’s attitude and then we can broadcast it by acting on those temptations and doing evil to our fellow man.

I am going to pick on Saddam Hussein for a moment but it applies to us all. Saddam could resist and want to do what is good for his people or he can fall in love with the system and be a tyrant over his people. He can broadcast those attitudes by using his poisonous weapons on his own people or starving his people. Or, as in the case of Adolph Hitler, have the children of his people march off to war to conquer other people and put people to death in gas chambers because of religion. Saddam became a repeater of Satan’s broadcasts. When we make a wrong choice, we can do the same thing.

It is very good for the earth when one by one we let God’s truth enlighten us and we turn off the evil broadcasts and start shedding some light. This is how we make tyrants squirm. This is how we make the darkness flee. It is very important for us to understand the system so we can get with God’s program and help Him bring light to this earth.

We travel about on the earth in the shadow of this being, Satan, in the shadow of his image. Unless we resist, we actually become part of the shadow! People can run into us and say that person is a downer. Or they can even say far worse things. Who among us would like to dwell in Iraq right now underneath that beast of a man? None of us. We should be very thankful to God that at least we dwell in nations where we have the freedom to choose to do good or evil. We have the freedom here. We have the freedom to learn the truth too and to read God’s word. This is one thing that is marvelous about the democracies of the earth that exemplify this freedom. They allow us to use our free will to develop as much good character as we want or as much bad character as we want. But at least we are free to do so here.

Let us close with a few scriptures keeping in mind that the image that we dwell under (this shadow that we live in) is a potent force. It is a potent influence that we must resist but it has limitations. Let us go to Job chapter 38. Some say this is the oldest book (the first book) written in the Bible. At the very beginning God pointed out what we were facing on the earth through this story with Job.

Job 38, starting in verse 1: “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: ‘Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’” So God is saying we are going to compare light to darkness here and don’t you dare bring darkness to My counsel. There is a lot of good advice here for us too.

Continuing in verse 4: “’Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?’”

Continuing in verse 8: “’Or who shut in the sea with doors, when it burst forth and issued from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; when I fixed My limit for it, and set bars and doors; when I said, “This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!”’” We understand the wilderness and the sea is Satan’s darkness. Remember Genesis 1:1, the Spirit of God moving over the waters. It was dark and without form and void. Here we see that God says I have limited the darkness. I will not let it conquer My creation, and it is limited to influence. It cannot drop bombs on you. You can resist the darkness with the light! Mankind has a choice to make here.

Drop to verse 16: “’Have you entered the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in search of the depths? Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?’” The doors of the shadow of death are Satan and his way of life. That is the shadow of death that we dwell under!

Continuing in verse 18 of Job 38. God goes on to say: “’Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth? Tell Me, if you know all this. Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place, that you may take it to its territory, that you may know the paths to its home? Do you know it, because you were born then, or because the number of your days is great?’”

God says you better rely on Me for good counsel and wisdom. You better rely on My word. You better rely on the word of truth to dispel the darkness and resist the evil. If you resist the evil it will flee.

This shadow of death: shadow comes from the #6757 in your Strong’s Concordance which means “shade of death”. That comes from the #6751 which means “to hover over”. The shadow of death hovers over the earth. That is the shadow we dwell under.

Interestingly enough the word “image” in Daniel chapter 2 is #6754 and #6755. They are placed in the same location in the Strong’s as shadow for a good reason. They have the same root word which means “illusion, phantom, to shade”! All of these words are related because that image of Satan’s government is the shadow we dwell under that blocks the sun’s light. We have to resist it. How we resist it is with the truth of God. Then we become a source of light.

Turn back, if you would, to Matthew chapter 4. This time we will start reading in verse 11. We are going to continue right after the temptation of Jesus Christ, which we started reading earlier in Matthew 4. Now we have dropped down a little bit here to where we ended up when we were talking about that whole incident.

Matthew 4, verse 11: “Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.” Now look what happens. Verse 12: “Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.’”

To those who sat in the region of the valley of the shadow of death to them the light had dawned. That is Jesus Christ bringing His word, and He had the power to do so. He had just defeated Satan, and He was bringing light. Remarkable!

Now turn back to Isaiah chapter 9. We have read this a few times in our studies, but now we are going to put it together a little bit more with the light. We have had a little bit more information from God’s thoughts, from His mind. Isaiah 9, starting in verse 1: “Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, as when at first He lightly esteemed the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali…” Showing how that would happen in Jesus Christ’s time when He first walked upon the earth. Then watch how He expands it to the whole earth eventually. “…and afterward more heavily oppressed her, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, in Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.”

Now drop down to verse 6: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

The light will come and will conquer the darkness. It will bring us a perfect government to replace the government of Satan. That is what we have to look forward to when tyranny will come to an end. The darkness will flee before the light.

There is more to come on this important subject, and we will study it in more depth. We will get a full grasp of what God has to say about how we will conquer darkness and free mankind. Until the next time, let God’s thoughts be a point of light in your life!
