The Dawn of Infinity

 By John J. Blanchard

October 8, 2012, Last Great Day

Good afternoon everyone on this Last Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles 2012.  Just before the Feast started we had a scientific milestone.  If you watched the news, you saw this curious little vehicle that is actually called Curiosity, land on Mars.  It is creeping and crawling around Mars as we speak.  It started sending back pictures of the Martian surface almost right away.  It looked like a lot of very desolate places on earth.  You could hardly tell it from some of our places out West or the Australian Outback.  It looked very familiar that way.  It sent back a stream of amazing pictures.  Then they announced just before the Feast started that it was going to put out a little excavator arm and start digging.  It had crawled around an area, and they selected a spot for this thing to start digging.  They found some very interesting things that have proven some theories, that until now we really had no absolute proof for.

I brought an article from September 28, 2012.   “On Mars There is Proof of An Ancient Stream.”  They know there is water on Mars, which is something science has speculated about for a long time.  They showed two little pictures of a stream bed.  They said the water had flowed six inches to a foot deep and had flowed three feet per second.  They can tell by erosion in the world here how long it takes to erode sand and gravel to that depth and in this way.  The scientists are all excited:  there’s water on Mars!

Scientists are all excited because they have hopes of being there by 2050 or 2060 and have a little station on Mars with people living there.  They are all excited about this.  This little excavator arm is going to start examining the soil, if you want to call it soil—the dirt—for minerals and various things that we might be able to use someday.

I found it interesting that the same newspaper had this article:  “A Sculpture is Likely from a Meteorite.”  They have this old Tibetan sculpture that they found.  They examined it and found that it was not any metal that you would find configured in that way on earth.  They thought it must have been made from a meteorite.  Perhaps these ancient people saw a meteorite hit and thought, it is a gift from God, so we will make a statue out of it!  Who knows?  But it is an ancient statue made from metal from outer space.

They are all excited because Curiosity has found water, and you need water for life.  If they want to have an inhabitable place on Mars for human beings, they don’t want to have to haul up thousands and thousands of gallons of water.  It’s great if the water is there.  Then if they have minerals that they can start working with, they might be able start manufacturing things to expand the colony.  They are thinking big.  A lot of people are asking, are these guys stupid?  They are very serious.

As a matter of fact, today SpaceX launched from Cape Canaveral.  SpaceX is a private venture rocket.  It’s going to the space station.  It is now no longer the space shuttle going back and forth, but a few Russian rockets that they have some difficulty getting launched with a schedule.  Businesses have stepped up to the plate.  They said, we are going to fund this.  Let us use Cape Canaveral to launch our commercial rockets.  Other people like Mr. Branson are saying, within a couple of years, I am going to have space tourism.  You will be able to sign up for a chance to go in outer space, spend a night out there, and come back.  This is starting to sound real.  We used to think this was all crazy talk, but it is not so crazy.

Venture capitalists are putting up the money which are billions of dollars to try to go to outer space, and they want a return on their investment.  These are forward thinking people who are no dummies.  They are saying, we could make some money.  They are very interested in what minerals Curiosity can dig up.  Is there gold?  Is there silver?   What exactly is on this planet?  Is there uranium?  Is there platinum?  They wonder about all these rare earth metals alone.  They are called rare earth metals.  These are things that they use for various electronic gadgets and things that are found only in a couple of places on earth.  They are looking and saying to themselves, maybe we could find this stuff and ship it back.  They are already designing cargo vessels to go there and bring back this stuff.

I found this interesting when I took my walk earlier in the week.  There is a little hole in the wall that says Kennecott Eagle Minerals Co. Mine Project.  You may have seen that PR building.  I mentioned it to a few people.  I went in there, and a nice young lady came out.  There were displays on the wall to explain what they were doing with the Humboldt Mine.  They are now calling it the Eagle Mine Project.  I picked up a piece of literature while I was there.

The mother company of Kennecott Eagle Minerals is Rio Tinto which is a British company.  It is interesting because I had read a long time ago that the major shareholder—at least a number of years ago—was the Royal family in Britain.  They were the major shareholder of Rio Tinto, so there is a connection to the Royal family now with this new mine.

This mine is taking an old mine from the 1950’s called the Humboldt Mine, which has been abandoned for a long time and refurbishing it.  They are bringing it up to environmental standards.  They hope to produce 300 million pounds of nickel—some of the purest nickel ever found on earth—and 250 million pounds of copper, and small amounts of other metals.  The lady was saying this is what they hope to do.  But she said the earth’s resources are finite, and there is only so much metal on earth—which is true.  There is a limit.  She said, our future goal within a decade or so is we expect to be mining garbage dumps around the world because of all the metal that was thrown away before recycling.  She said, there is a lot of metal in dumps, so they are actually going to be mining dumps.  I thought that’s great!

What happens when they run out of dumps?  They need metal, and they need things.  There is outer space.  There is Curiosity out there figuring out what kind of rare metals and things are there for mankind!  We are finally getting the technology and the ability to get out there.

We can say earth’s mineral resources are finite.  There are resources that come from outer space like sunlight that are not finite.  That’s going to last millions and millions of years.  There is wind power.  There is your tidal power.  There are all these various things which are all basically driven by the sun, if you studied that out.  That’s what causes all the winds and the tides and what not.  The sun and moon do that.  In any case, the things that are on the earth like metal or coal or oil or gas are finite.  They found that there is plenty for the next couple hundred years, so there is no worry.  Whatever you are hearing in the news, don’t worry.  There is plenty.  But because we do keep finding more and more uses for these rare earth metals, in a couple of hundred years, we are going to need other sources.  It looks like there will be plenty available from outer space!

God’s plan is ambitious beyond our wildest dreams!  Even these smart people who are coming up with all these ways to go to outer space and bring things back cannot envision what God has in mind for us all!

We are going to start reading in I Corinthians chapter 2, verse 6:  “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing [speaking of Satan and the demons].  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  But as it is written:  ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’  But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”

It takes the Holy Spirit to reveal the deep things of God, but God reveals it to people like you would peel an onion—layer upon layer upon layer.  No generation of mankind has understood everything, let alone the universe.  Compared to God’s thoughts it says we cannot even begin to process what God has in mind for mankind.  It’s that awesome!

I could take you to Titus chapter 1:1-2, but we won’t go there right now.  It talks about God having these plans for us before time began!  Before time existed, God said, here is where We are going to go with this.  You can see God the Father and Jesus Christ coming together with this awesome plan of what They were going to do with these people They were going to create.

It is fun to speculate though!  It is really wonderful to have people who are not afraid to say, we can go to Mars!  We can put a colony there.  We can bring back metals.  These are people who think big.  For a little bit here, I want us to think big like God.  Let’s not be minimalist.  God looks at all of our plans and says, those are cute.  Going to Mars—how cute!  That little machine walking around is a nice little machine.  God thinks so big.  It’s hard for us to even wrap around the idea that God has a mind that is that huge and that powerful.  The most powerful computers on earth are nothing to Him.

Let’s turn to Isaiah chapter 9.  We are going to read verse 7.  God says here inspired through the prophet:  “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.  Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

I just remembered something interesting here when it mentioned the throne of David, that the Royal family in England does trace their lineage back to David.  Here we have this connection now in Marquette right at this Feast site.  It goes all the way back, so it is interesting.  They are into mining.  They are probably interested in what’s happening on Mars right now.

God says, “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.”  It is hard for us to fathom something that gets started that never stops!  This is going to keep increasing and increasing, which obviously means more and more people.

That word “increase” in the Hebrew is marbiyth (#4768, Strong’s Concordance, 1995):   “a multitude, also offspring, specifically interest (on capital).”  It is interesting how God combines those two.  They almost seem like different definitions:  offspring, multitude, people being born constantly, and an interest on capital.

Just think of what God has invested in the human race.  Every time a child is born, to Him His investment is increasing.  It is growing.  The value of the human race goes up as the multitude of people grows.  God’s family potential gets bigger and bigger.  God has invested a lot in His plan and in mankind.

The Bible has a lot to say about investment, but let’s go to one you may not be so familiar with.  There are a lot of Scriptures about the parable of the talents and various ways to increase things, but turn to Ephesians chapter 1.  We are going to start reading in verse 7.

Ephesians 1, verse 7:  “In Him [meaning Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.  In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.  In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”

We understand there is a guarantee—a bit of the Holy Spirit—of an inheritance.  That guarantee is a down payment.  God says, We are going to bring salvation starting with a few, and it’s a down payment.  Each person who receives the Holy Spirit is getting a down payment, and that is going to bring about the dispensation of the fullness of the times.

That word “dispensation” is one that does not seem to make sense here.  What do you mean “dispensation of the fullness of the times?”  Dispensation comes from the Greek word oikonomia (#3622, Strong’s, 1995).  Does that sound like economy?  It should.  It means “administration (of a household or estate); specifically a religious economy.”  That is why the model prayer says forgive your debtors as you want to be forgiven.

We have talked about how forgiveness increases our spiritual wealth and our riches.  God is managing a household that is a religious economy.

Related to it and a following word to it, if you were to look that up is oikonomos  (#3623, Strong’s, 1995) which means a house-distributor.”  That, of course, would be Christ as the overseer, by extension a fiscal agent or a treasurer.  He has the word oikos (#3624, Strong’s, 1995) which is the prefix for both of the words I gave you.  Oikos means a family or a dwelling.  It is interesting when you put oikos and nomos together—oikonomos—it means the gospel and the law (#3551, Strong’s, 1995).  It is an economy based on the gospel and God’s law.

Hence when the government increases forever, it increases with peace!  Everybody is on the same page with the law.  Everybody understands what the gospel of salvation is.  Therefore, as the family grows forever, there is peace, so the increase of His government and His peace will be forever!  Therefore that increase is based on the gospel, the law, and inherited blessings that come from a spiritual economy that you and I now participate in.  It’s a marvelous concept!  It is spiritual economics.

A benevolent government overseeing a huge family has to be peaceful.  The way we operate today, could you imagine the wars that would take place between planets?  That’s why Satan has to be locked away.  The wars would be horrible!  God says, when My government increases, it will increase with peace.  There will be peace.

We are going to need space, and I mean that in two ways.  We need space like we have space in this room to accommodate all of us, and we are going to need space as in outer space.  If the population of mankind is going to grow forever, we don’t have room on earth!  At some point we need space.  It is very interesting as we approach the time of the end of the age and the Millennium is drawing nearer and nearer, that mankind’s most visionary people are saying, we are ready!  We want to make space viable!  We want to bring it into earth’s economy.

There is a limited amount of gold, palladium, and rare earth metals, but these big-thinking people are saying there are all kinds of them out there.  We’re going to find it, and we will bring it back here.  We will move people out there.  Just like the mine here in town is going to hire hundreds of people to work on the mine, there will be people out on these various planets starting with Mars working there.  It sounds wild!  God said, you have no idea what I have in mind for you.

In Isaiah chapter 51 God says something mind boggling!  Isaiah 51, verse 15:  “But I am the Lord your God, who divided the sea whose waves roared—the Lord of hosts is His name.  And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”

God started with a few people.  He laid a foundation on the earth, and from that foundation He is going to plant the heavens.  That is not a misprint.  That word “plant” is nata (#5193, Strong’s, 1995) which means to strike in, specifically to plant seed literally or figuratively.  It is the root of the word netta (#5194, Strong’s, 1995), a plant, specifically a plantation.

God’s future thinking is, I am going to plant the heavens, but I am going to start with the earth.  I am going to start with a people—Mount Zion.  I am going to start with a people that I call unto Myself in a spiritual economy.  I am going to give them a bit of My seed—the seed of the Holy Spirit—as a down payment eventually for the whole universe.  It is awesome!  This is going to happen.

You saw those pictures that I showed you of the Martian surface that looked like dead rock.  People are going to arrive there, and they will bring some top soil, some fertile dirt from the earth.  They will mix it there.  They will create enough heat with the sun shields that they will be able to make, and they will take a planet that is too cold for plants to grow and make an environment like a space green house!

Think big and picture this for a moment.  The plants will begin to grow.  As plants live and die generation after generation, the amount of top soil will grow and grow.  Then they will have to enlarge the green house.  Then they will find out ways to heat it up a little bit.  They are already talking about that on earth.  There will be space mirrors to warm up the earth.  This is not farfetched.  They are talking about doing this.  They are talking about warming up various places with space mirrors.  They will put geosynchronous mirrors around Mars and make it 72 degrees.  Things are going to grow.  The water will flow again.  These rivers will flow.  Mankind will have a colony.  God says right here He will plant the heavens, but He starts with the earth.

When God plants those heavens and makes a plantation, it becomes to Him fruitful.  He says, My government is going to grow.  It’s going to grow forever because that’s what He said, and He never makes a mistake.  He always keeps His promises.

I like to look at that picture and envision a wasteland up there like the Negev Desert.  All of a sudden there are vineyards, gardens, and maybe people will have corn crops like mine up there.  They could have squash and all kinds of crops growing in outer space.  It is awesome!  They will take seeds from the earth, because there are no seeds there.  You can bet they will take seeds out there, and they will start planting.  It is going to be amazing.  It makes sense, because God is a farmer.

Turn to James chapter 5.  We can read all of Christ’s examples about agriculture such as the wheat and the tares and the parable of the sower.  God is into farming.  Of course, He is a spiritual farmer.  Let’s start in James 5, verse 7:  “Therefore be patient, brethren [it’s not easy for us to be patient], until the coming of the Lord.  See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain [the Old and the New Testament to grow God’s crops].  You also be patient.  Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”

For our generation, it’s very close.  God is getting ready to expand His garden around this earth.  Without wars and disease as problems, we are going to multiply very fast.  In a few hundred years, we are going to need Mars and maybe beyond!  That will be possible.  That will be very possible, and we can see it starting in the minds of men today preparing for that time.

I want to take a minute and look at this particular day—the Last Great Day, the day after the Feast, which is the day after the Millennium.  Picture it, that we have gone through a thousand years of peace.  We have all learned God’s ways.  There are lots of people!  God says, we have come to the Last Great Day.  Let’s turn to the gospel of John and see what Christ said on the Last Great Day when He was walking the earth.

John chapter 7, verse 37:  “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

Christ chose the last day of the Feast—the Last Great Day—to say those words.  Eventually you who believe in Me and receive My Holy Spirit as a down payment and join in the spiritual economy will make it possible for everyone to have it.  That’s what the Last Great Day pictures.  There will be a huge resurrection when billions of people who have lived will be resurrected.  They will have a chance at receiving eternal life.

Let’s go to I Corinthians chapter 15.  We have understood for quite some time there are more resurrections than one.  I Corinthians 15 really explains that nicely.  We will read a few Scriptures there.  I Corinthians 15, verse 20:  “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.  For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.  But each one in his own order:  Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.”

There are multiple resurrections spoken of here.  There is an order of resurrections, one after the other, starting with Jesus Christ who is first.  Then the saints are resurrected after He returns.  But we know from Scripture there are more resurrections coming besides just the one for the saints.

Continue in verse 24 of I Corinthians 15:  “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.  For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.  The last enemy that will be destroyed is death [death itself].  For ‘He has put all things under His feet.’  But when He says, ‘all things are put under Him,’ it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.”

God the Father said, Christ everything is under You except Me.

Continuing in I Corinthians 15, verse 28:  “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.”

You get this idea of Christ being the Head of the family.  God the Father is, of course, at the top.  Then you have Christ whose seed has gone forth into people as the Holy Spirit ever increasing, but God the Father says, everything will be under You.  That includes Mars.  That includes everything you see at night when you look at all those stars blinking in the sky.  It is a huge universe!  Some scientists say there are multiple universes!  Some say it looks like universes are being born all the time!  Obviously Christ and God the Father can increase the government forever because it is always growing.  There is always more to it out there.

Drop down to I Corinthians 15, verse 35:  “But someone will say, ‘How are the dead raised up?  And with what body do they come?’  Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.  And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain.  But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.  All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.  There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.”

In other words there are glories in heaven, and there are glories on earth.  There are specific seeds, and they have their own body.  When you plant a seed of grain, you don’t get a hippopotamus that all of a sudden pops up out of the ground.  That’s why mankind should not be fooling around with these things either.  God designed each seed to be what would come in the next generation.   In any case, let’s read verse 41.

Verse 41:   “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon [that’s a glory of Jesus Christ, and a glory of the Church], and another glory of the stars [angels]; for one star differs from another star in glory.”

Just as when you look outside at night, some stars are brighter than the others, there are some stars like Michael and Gabriel that are brighter, bigger, and more powerful than the other angels.

Verse 42:  “So also is the resurrection of the dead.  The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.  It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory.  It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.  It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.  There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.  And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being.’  The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”

Now we see a connection when we are told in verse 22 that as in Adam all die, in Christ all will come alive.  There is a resurrection, and then those who would care to receive the Holy Spirit can have it.  That is what we are being told here.

Continuing in I Corinthians 15, verse 46:  “However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.  The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.  As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.  And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.”

We are going to have an opportunity to bear the image of Christ.  We will be like Him and have a spiritual body, but we have to start with this physical body.  Our physical body has ailments and things go wrong, age comes upon all of us, and eventually we die.  God says not to worry.  It is like a seed.  A seed has to be dead.  You get a dried up piece of corn, wheat, or a squash seed and it is just a dead thing. You put it in the ground and water it.  In God’s case there is the former and the latter rain.  You watch it sprout.  You give it a little sunlight, good soil, and up comes a plant!  Then that plant multiplies.  That one seed can make a cornstalk almost 10 ft. tall like some I have had.  It has many, many kernels of corn on it.  That’s what God says He is doing with the human race.  I want My peaceful government to increase forever, but I am going to infuse it with My seed, so you have a chance at eternal life.

It is an awesome plan of God.  He does not think small.  God thinks in big, big terms, and it is fun to try to do it sometimes and get connected.  Ask, God, how big do you think?  Just think the biggest thoughts you can think of!  God is still far more than that, but it is exciting.  It gives us hope that there is a wonderful future ahead.

This is the eighth day, the Last Great Day.  We know seven is the number of perfection.  Physically speaking, we have gone through a week.  We know that God says, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.  At the end of the Millennium, we will have gone through God’s plan, from day one to day seven.   Then comes this Last Great Day of the Feast.  It is the eighth day.

We have gone round and round, like we have talked about earlier in the sermon.  We have gone round and round, but what happens when you have fulfilled all of the holy days?  After the Feast of Tabernacles and you come to the end of the Millennium, people are going to say, now what?  God says, not to worry.  You’ve come to the eighth day—shemoneh (#8083, Strong’s, 1995) in the Hebrew.  It is a cardinal number, as if it is a surplus of the perfect number seven.  A surplus which is above and beyond number seven.

We have come through seven days in the week.  We will have gone through 7,000 years of God’s plan.  We come to number eight, which means new beginnings.  We are going to begin again!  The number eight is a circle over a circle.  If you lay it sideways, it means infinity.

We have this concept that we have gone around in the circles.  We have gone through all of God’s plan, and now He says not to worry.  We are going to do something fabulous now.  This is going to be awesome.  That was all just kindergarten.  That was the beginning!  Now we are going to do something truly amazing!  It is awesome to think that He started with Abraham.  He said, Abraham?  He said, here I am, the father of the faithful.  We know Adam was the first man, but when God made the covenant with Abraham showing us what He was going to do, it was just one man walking around.  God called him.  He said, I’ll do it.

Let’s go to Genesis chapter 22, verse 12:  “And He [Christ speaking to Abraham] said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the lad [he was going to sacrifice Isaac], or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld our son, your only son, from Me.’ Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns.  So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.”

We know the story.  He was willing to offer Isaac up—a type of Jesus Christ and Abraham a type of God the Father.

Continuing in verse 14 of Genesis 22:  “And Abram called the name of the place, The Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.’  Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said:  ‘By myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.’”

This means eventually Satan will be banished.  There will be peace.  But He says, your descendants will number as the sand on the seashore and the stars of the heavens, which are unlimited!  God is going to keep that promise.  He is going to keep that promise in a way that we cannot begin to comprehend, but it is exciting to think about!

Let’s turn to Revelation 20 for the last couple of Scriptures.   It’s speaking of the Millennium that we just finished picturing here.

Revelation 20, verse 4:  “And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.  Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.  And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years [that is what we call the Millennium].  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.  This is the first resurrection.”

There is another one coming at the end of the thousand years.  That one will be composed of billions of people.

Verse 6 of Revelation 20:  “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.  Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Those who have died and had never known Christ can still reject.  It is hard to believe that any would at that point in time, but God gave us all a free will.

Drop down to verse 11 of Revelation 20:  “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away.  And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were open.  And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.  And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.  And they were judged, each one according to his works.  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.”

There will be no more death and no more suffering.

Then drop down to Revelation chapter 21, verse 1:  “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth…”

We are getting to the Last Great Day’s fulfillment now and the start of something big!

Continuing in verse 1:  “…for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.  Also there was no more sea.  Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from heaven, saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.  God Himself will be with them and be their God.’”

It seems as if it’s a new heaven and a new earth, but it is composed in some way of this earth!  Heaven comes here, but it is like no earth we have seen before.  It is a new earth.  It is going to be something awesome!

Continuing in Revelation 21, verse 4:  “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’  Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’”

We are picturing everything being made new here today.  It is something awesome!

Continuing in verse 5:  “And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’  And He said to me ‘It is done!  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.  He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.’”

He says, all things which includes the universe!  There is no limit when you say all things.

Even our biggest thinkers—the Albert Einsteins of our age—are nothing like the mind of God.  We can give them credit, but it is nothing like the mind of God.  We just cannot comprehend it.  But I am telling you that the day we are picturing here today means there will be a new dawn into infinity!
