From the beginning of God’s efforts to restore, rejuvenate, and refresh the earth, the biggest obstacle has been man’s inability to get along. Strife and division first reared its ugly head when Cain killed Abel.
Abraham is referred to in Scripture as “the father of the faithful” (Romans 4:11) for his willingness to sacrifice his only son Isaac as a forerunner of God the Father’s willingness to sacrifice His only Son (Galatians 4:28). Personal sacrifice for the greater good was a fundamental part of Abraham’s character. Genesis 13:6-9 records that there was strife between Abraham and his brother Lot and their herdsman over land to support their herds and flocks. Abraham deferred to his brother the right to select the choicest land that there might be peace amongst brethren.
Psalm 133:1 proclaims, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Verse 3 concludes that for those who dwell in unity God commands the blessing –“life evermore!” God is very pleased when brethren live and work together in harmony.
Our goal of The Beautiful Thoughts of God is to bring people together to worship God and to help our fellow man usher in the wonderful Millennium that lies just ahead. The Beautiful Thoughts of God believes fundamentally that it’s a matter of keeping God’s Ten Commandments in the letter and in the spirit. We encourage anyone who is of like mind or who wants to learn more about this effort to contact us.
