Coming to Know a Beautiful Mind, Part 2

John J. Blanchard

THE LIBERATION OF MANKIND

If you recall, in part one we looked into some thoughts of God. We took careful note of how lofty His thoughts are. They are far above man’s thoughts. We found that they are beautiful thoughts. They are beautiful because they are based upon love. They are full of mercy, compassion and outgoing concern.

Yes, His thoughts are full of love and compassion as opposed to death and destruction. God’s way is the way of love. Satan is the one who is motivated by destruction and hatred. He wants to destroy and kill. God is the ruler of the universe, and Satan is the god of this world. Two opposing types of thought. One is full of bitterness, anger and hatred. The other is full of love, mercy and compassion. So one is an awful mind, and one is a beautiful mind. One is full of lovely thoughts, and the other is full of darkness. God’s way is the opposite because it is full of light.

A WORLD HELD CAPTIVE

We also noticed that the world is held captive under this evil government of Satan’s. I would like to look at some scriptures to back that up. This world is definitely under his grip. It is under the captivity of his evil government. Turn to Ephesians chapter 6. We are going to look at a few scriptures now to prove this point.

Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” So we see we are at odds with and against principalities of darkness, evil, hatred and wickedness.

The reason the term “principalities” is used here in Ephesians is because the earth has been divided up by Satan into regions (territories). His demons rule over these regions, much like we have in our country today. We have villages, townships, counties, states or provinces, and we have countries. The world is, indeed, divided up into principalities.

It is also divided up spiritually into principalities. Let’s look at a few scriptures that will bring that clearly into focus as well. Turn to Daniel chapter 10, starting in verse 10: “Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, ‘O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.’ While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.”

Verse 12: “Then he said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.’”

So you see, Daniel had prayed to God for understanding, and the angel of the Lord was sent to him. It took three weeks for him to break through the prince of Persia and the kings of Persia, it says here. Who was this prince and these kings? They were demonic rulers over the nation of Persia. We see there is a spiritual realm over the national realm that we see. When we look at a globe or a map, we see it all divided. Satan has invisible boundaries that we cannot see, but they apparently mirror the physical boundaries on the earth. He has placed his demons, his evil spirits, over those regions (or principalities).

Turn to II Corinthians chapter 4, verse 3. “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” Some Bible translations, like the King James, refers to the “god of this world” because Satan is the god of this world. He is in charge of all of the kingdoms over the earth. Under him are lesser princes, lesser kings (or demons) over individual nations and principalities and regions.

Turn now, if you would, to John chapter 12, verse 27. “‘Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? “Father, save Me from this hour”? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.’” This is Christ speaking here. “Then a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.’ Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, ‘An angel has spoken to Him.’”

Verse 30: “Jesus answered and said, ‘This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.’” So before Christ died, He was saying that He would qualify to replace Satan’s government. The ruler of this world (the god of this world) will be cast out. Obviously, all of his underlings, or the princes and evil rulers of the principalities that he rules over, will be cast out with him.

Now if you were to look up this word “world” here in your Strong’s Concordance, you would find it is #2889. It says the “orderly arrangement.” It is further proof that Satan has arranged the world according to his desires and whims. He has awarded certain nations and regions to certain of his demons and followers to rule over and control. So Satan has divided the world according to his desires. He has placed this world in an iron grip where his demons influence people, move nations and peoples toward hatred, violence, evil and all of the things we mentioned that come from his way of life. This way is in opposition to God’s way of love, mercy and compassion.

Now one huge step in God’s plan is to replace this evil government and liberate the people of the earth. This is one of His most beautiful thoughts: to liberate mankind from this horrible government that holds the earth captive. Years ago Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong wrote a book called “A World Held Captive” in which he detailed the situation mankind finds themselves in. Since Adam (6,000 years) mankind has been held in the iron grip of Satan and has known nothing but misery, heartache, envy, greed, hatred, violence. In essence, all he has known is darkness. Satan’s way is evil and wicked. His thoughts run rampant, and his desires are carried out throughout the earth. It explains the inexplicable – the murders and the hatred one nation has for another, one race against another, one class against another. Satan is constantly stirring up people to his way of destruction, violence, darkness and evil.

We are going to be liberated from this by God’s plan and His beautiful thought of how to liberate mankind through Christ’s life and death for mankind and the institution of a new government. So today we are going to use the four principles that we discussed in part one. These four principles of Bible study will help us understand what God is saying to us in His word.
(1) God says what He means and means what He says.
(2) God’s word interprets itself.
(3) God gave us the physical realm to help us understand the spiritual realm, as we just saw here with principalities being divided up physically and spiritually.
(4) The Old Testament and its physical examples were given to us to understand the New Testament and its spiritual vision for all mankind.

LIBERTY FOR THE CAPTIVES

Satan’s government is about to be replaced by Jesus Christ and His government, and this is the great purpose that God has while He is increasing His family. He is reproducing Himself. He wants free people, free to do good and not have the influence of evil while being in this horrible captivity.

Eons ago the Father and the Word devised an awesome plan of unimaginable proportions to accomplish this. God is not a minimalist in any sense. He is the giant of big thinkers, a master builder. He is the creator of a family and a government which will never cease to grow. Every detail is outlined in His plan, and every eventuality has been accounted for. This includes the free will and the fall of Satan and his angels, and the free will and the fall of mankind. Therefore, God’s plan accounts for both of these downfalls and will overcome them! He will free His people! Much of God’s plan is outlined, and the Bible deals with this dilemma.

Satan’s fall cascaded into the fall of one-third of the angels and all of mankind. All are, therefore, worthy of destruction. God’s plan puts the most guilt squarely on the government of Satan; because as in any organization, corporation or national endeavor, the buck stops at the top. The greatest responsibility lies with the leadership, and that is why the guilt will be placed squarely on Satan the devil on a future Day of Atonement.

God the Father and Jesus Christ have seen their creation taken captive and their plan co-opted and corrupted by Satan. They are not about to allow for the utter destruction of their creation and those being made in their image. To allow this would be to allow the Millennium to begin on Satan’s terms, and Abaddon, the destroyer, would hand over total ruination to the succeeding government of Jesus Christ.

But right now let’s look at the change of government that is soon going to take place on this earth. There are a number of ways that God’s thoughts describe how He is going to do this in His word, the Bible. God describes His change of government. First of all, I would like to look at that as a situation in which certain mountains are lowered. Those mountains are representing Satan and his government. Other mountains are raised, which represent Jesus Christ and His government.

If you would, please, turn to Daniel chapter 2, verse 31. This is Daniel talking to Nebuchadnezzar. “‘You, O King, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.’”

Verse 35: “‘Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king.’” So there is no guessing here. We are going to be told exactly what this mountain is.

Continuing in Daniel 2:37. “‘You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all – you are this head of gold. But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be a strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.’”

Verse 41: “‘Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.’”

Verse 45 of Daniel 2: “‘Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold – the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.’” So as it says here, this mountain that will fill all of the earth and subdue all kingdoms and nations will be the mountain and the kingdom of God. It is the government that is going to come to replace the evil governments of the earth.

The evil governments of Satan will be replaced, as well. This is certain we are told. It is absolutely going to happen. Guaranteed! This government is clearly mentioned in Isaiah 9:6-7 “FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN. UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN; AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER. AND HIS NAME WILL BE CALLED WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. AND OF THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE THERE WILL BE NO END.” This government will be superimposed over the earth and rule all nations just as Satan has, and even more so. Beautiful and perfect influences of a perfect government. A government truly for the people in every good sense.

Turn to Isaiah chapter 2, verse 1: “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. ‘Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.’”

So it is undeniable that the mountain of God is His nation, His kingdom, His government. It is without a doubt. We are told in Daniel that this will happen. It will take place for sure. Now using our principle, let’s go look for confirmation in the New Testament.

Luke chapter 3, verse 3: “And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill brought low; and the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”’”

So quoting here from the Old Testament in the Book of Isaiah, we can see that every mountain and hill shall be brought low. The governments that we see now will be subdued. The evil governments over them that are controlled by Satan the devil will be completely brought down.

Turn, if you would, to Luke 19. As we see that the government of Satan collapses, there will not be a void, but there will be a new government. It will be Christ’s government with a new distribution of principalities and powers. Luke chapter 19, verse 11: “Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Therefore He said: ‘A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, “Do business till I come.” But his citizens hated him…’” Notice it says citizens. Citizens are ruled over by government. “‘…and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We will not have this man to reign over us.” And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying “Master, your mina has earned ten minas.” And he said to him, “Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.” And the second came, saying, “Master, your mina has earned five minas.” Likewise he said to him, “You also be over five cities.”’”

So now we can see that when Christ returns and establishes His kingdom (His government) He will distribute to His servants according to how they worked for Him. According to how good of a job they did for Him, He will distribute cities. You are seeing in advance here in a parable that Christ will redistribute the principalities according to His desires when He returns. He will redivide up the earth in its regions and award them to people who will then be spirit beings to serve mankind in a new government. The new government will be of Jesus Christ, and He will be the ruler, the One who has received this government.

I want to look at one more scripture that contrasts these two governments very clearly. Now that we have this background, we can understand something else that happened to Jesus Christ back in Luke 4 when He was tempted by Satan. There was a very real temptation here, and Satan had the authority to tempt Jesus Christ in this regard because he is the god of this world. These principalities were under his control at that time and still are. They will be under his control until Christ’s second coming.

Luke chapter 4, verse 1: “Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days he ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. And the devil said to Him, ‘If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.’ But Jesus answered him, saying, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, ‘All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.’”

Now can you see the significance. What was this mountain? What mountain could you climb on earth and see all the nations of the world at one moment in time? It must be a spiritual mountain. You cannot see all the kingdoms of the world from the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest. You could see a long way. Maybe you could see l00 miles or more, but you cannot see around the earth. This is a spiritual mountain. This is Satan’s mountain. This is the mountain that will be laid flat. The other mountain we saw in Daniel that will grow is the mountain of Jesus Christ, which will rule over all of the earth.

These are spiritual mountains we are speaking of here, very clearly. We can see that the nations of the world are divided up into regions and ruled over by Satan’s demons. Satan had authority to offer to Jesus Christ these kingdoms in exchange for His worship! Christ would not have had to suffer. For the benefit of all mankind and for His namesake Christ did not accept it! He is never going to be known as a failure. He went through with His sacrifice so that He has now qualified to put that mountain of His over the earth at His second coming! What an awesome thing to know and understand! Let’s now look at one more scripture along these lines.

You will notice we are going back and forth from New Testament to the Old Testament to prove these thoughts of God, just as we said earlier in our four keys to understanding God’s word. You do not have to turn there because we have already read it, but in Daniel chapter 2 we can see clearly that God’s government (the mountain) is going to rise and conquer the earth. Satan’s mountain will be cast down, and I would like to look at a few more scriptures having to do with this.

Please turn to Isaiah chapter 40, starting in verse 4: “‘Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth; the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.’” So we see here that every mountain and hill will be brought low, but the valleys shall be exalted. That is because God’s government currently is low on the earth. His people, His Church, are very lowly on the earth – considered, as it were, spiritual valleys under the mountains of Satan’s government. Those valleys will be raised up, and those mountains will be laid low.

Turn to Isaiah chapter 11, verse 9: “‘They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.’” So here we can see that when Jesus Christ’s government is ruling this earth and His principalities are divided up with His servants ruling the earth, there will be no more destruction and no more hatred. The thoughts and the ways of Satan will be banished. We will not have war any more. We will not have evil and darkness. We will have a government that will rule by love and compassion.

Turn to Isaiah chapter 25, verse 5: “You will reduce the noise of aliens, as heat in a dry place; as heat in the shadow of a cloud, the song of the terrible ones will be diminished. And in this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all people a feast of choice pieces, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of well-refined wines on the lees. And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.”

Verse 9: “And it will be said in that day: ‘Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.’ For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest…” It is talking about the Millennium here where there will be peace and plenty for everybody physically and spiritually. Everyone will be able to know God and have His salvation. They will be glad, for the earth will have been waiting a long time for this liberation to come.

Now turn to Isaiah chapter 30, verse 29: “You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the mighty One of Israel.” People will be full of joy and gladness when this mountain has been established upon the earth. One more scripture in Isaiah to turn to is Isaiah 56.

Isaiah chapter 56, verse 7: “‘Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, “Yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him.”’” This is a reference to all peoples, eventually known in scripture as the “innumerable multitude” who will be brought into that kingdom under that government and be the citizens of that kingdom. That will be discussed in a future time in more depth.

LOOKING AT STARS

So as we can see clearly, Satan’s mountains will be replaced by God’s mountains. It is a change of government. A perfect, beautiful government is about to be installed upon the earth. Before we completely finish with that subject I would like to look at another aspect, another way that God describes this change of government besides mountains. It is also looked at by God as a change of stars.

I would like to examine another way that Satan’s government is falling, and that is of stars or angels. Turn, if you would please, to Revelation chapter 1, verse 20. This goes hand in hand with the subject we are looking at, but it is just a little variation on it to help us grasp this more fully and make your Bible study more complete when you study this change of government. Turn to Revelation chapter l, verse 20: “‘The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.’”

What we are looking for here is the concept of stars representing angels. As we know, Satan has control over a portion of those angels. So please turn to Revelation chapter 12. These angels form his government, form his mountain and hills. Revelation chapter 12, verse 4. This is speaking of Satan. “His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon…” Of course, this is Satan. “…stood before the woman…” This is the Church. “…who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.” So we can see here, the dragon (Satan the devil) has a third of the stars in his possession. Stars are representative of angels. Somehow in ancient times, before perhaps man ever existed, Satan tricked a third of the angels to go with him and become demons. These now form his government over the earth that we just saw are called mountains over the principalities and over the regions.

Now if you would turn to back to the Old Testament again to Job chapter 38, verse 6: “‘To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?’” In other words, when Christ created the earth, there were angels there to sing the praises of God. These were the “morning stars.” This is another example of stars shown to be angels. These angels that Satan took a third of and control over actually now rule over the earth. We know that the evil mountains are going to get laid low and be replaced by Christ’s mountain. So this one-third of the stars somewhere in the scriptures should be shown to get laid low. Let’s look at the same principle from Old Testament to New.

Turn to Matthew chapter 24, verse 29: “‘Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’” That may be a little different dimension in thought here than what you are used to seeing in this particular scripture, but as we have seen, the real rulers (the powers of the heavens) are Satan and his demons over the earth. We are being told here that they will fall. So we are not talking about physical mountains being laid flat here. We are talking about Satan’s stars getting laid flat when the powers are shaken. It is a spiritual thing that is about to happen when the government is replaced.

Now, if you would, turn to Revelation chapter 6, verse 12: “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’”

We see a couple of references here now that help us put together the story of what is going to happen at the end. That story is the collapse of Satan’s government, the mountains and the stars, replaced by the mountains of Jesus Christ and His government. This is a beautiful thought and beautiful analogy and a wonderful thing that we are all about to witness. It is going to happen sooner than we think, so we have to do our part to get ready. We looked at that in part one, too – building holy righteous character so we can be given a part in Christ’s government.

We can see that the world, in essence, is held captive by the iron grip of Satan, and it is God the Father and Jesus Christ’s great desire to liberate us. They want to liberate all of mankind from this evil government and replace it with a beautiful government. It will be an absolutely beautiful government of Jesus Christ. Turn to Isaiah chapter 61, verse 1: “‘The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.’” That is the good news of the gospel of the kingdom of God, and it is about to come. The good tidings of that gospel are that the captives will be set free. The hearts that are now broken will be healed. The people who are now literally in a spiritual prison will be set free. This will happen, as it says in verse 2.

Isaiah 61, verse 2: “‘…to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.’”

It is going to be wonderful! These are the beautiful thoughts of God, and we can share them with the world. Whenever we tell people of the good tidings of the coming government of Jesus Christ, the mountain that will provide peace, abundance and prosperity to the world which will liberate them, we are bringing these good tidings. We can do that for people and give them hope.

Now let’s go to Luke chapter 4, verse 16: “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.’”

If we want to be a good and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, we are going to follow His example and preach this to people. We need to preach the hope of mankind. That would include: broken hearts can be healed, that the captives will be set free and be given liberty, that the blind who cannot see the truths of God will soon be able to see, and there will be liberty to all of those who are oppressed. This time is about ready to become reality for the world. We need to proclaim it! Christ is bringing a new government, and He is going to eliminate death, destruction, suffering, anxiety, pain and the anguish that mankind has lived under for 6,000 years. We are going to replace the horrible thoughts and mind patterns of Satan the devil with the beautiful thoughts of God and His wonderful government.

Strive to be part of God’s government and His mountain. Let’s turn to Matthew chapter 5 and see what we can do to assure ourselves a place in this wonderful kingdom. Matthew chapter 5, verse 1: “And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain…” And I do not think He went up on a mountain by accident. I think He was proving His point. “…and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.’”

Do you know why these attributes are linked to being part of the kingdom of God? Because these are the thoughts of God. To be kind, to be gentle, to be righteous, to be merciful, to be a peacemaker – these represent the characteristics of the kind of people who will rule in the government of the kingdom of God! So if we want to be part of that mountain, a part of the government that replaces this evil, truly wicked empire of Satan’s, the empire of darkness and evil, we must bear these fruits. Work on these diligently so when Christ returns He will call you His faithful servant. He will be able to say that you will rule over five cities or ten cities, you will be a part of My mountain, a part of My government that will bring peace to the earth and eventually the entire universe!
